Ute is a milkmaid, who lives in a northern seashore town with her only friend, a cow named Edna. Jeanne is a very French, very chic Crêpe seller with a little stall at the harbor. Ute loves Jeanne. Jeanne doesn't love Ute.

Fate sends them together on a trip that will change their life. While Jeanne is in First class, flirting with a beautiful woman, a genetic engineer called Lucy Fair, Ute is in the belly of the plane with her cow - and Lucy Fair’s cows. Genetically manipulated, they only eat plastic. These very aggressive cows break out of their high security boxes during the flight. Only one person is able to tame them: Ute!

Lucy Fair's Recycling cows have caused damages all over the world. Unless she can prove that her cows are harmless, Lucy Fair will have to pay millions of reparation. Ute is her solution! But Ute refuses to come to her Labs in Switzerland. Jeanne wants to go. They go.

It's hell there! Jeanne is flirting publicly with Lucy Fair and Ute's cow falls in love with the local milkmaid. Ute packs her bags. Lucy can't afford to have her rescue plan leave. She manipulates Jeanne. Jeanne kisses Ute. Ute stays.

Ute has to tame forty berserk, mad cows. She manages. She also manages to destroy Lucy's labs. But her biggest victory is that in the end she wins Jeanne's heart.
